I am Nehama Grenimann Bauch, a trained art therapist (MA from Haifa University, Israel), with over 7 years of experience working primarily with children at risk, children with migration and refugee backgrounds, and their parents. In the past, I've also worked with adults in a psychiatric ward that specialized, among others, in treatment for survivors of sexual abuse. I have additional training in Mentalization-Based Arts Psychotherapies, Brief Interpersonal Arts Psychotherapies for Depression, Polyvagal-Focused and Sensorimotor Expressive Arts Therapy, Reflective Functioning Training on the Parent Development Interview, Arts-based Parental training and parental therapy, cultural humility in art therapy, and Trauma Treatment Through Art Therapy (TT-AT).
I am currently training to be an accredited EMDR therapist, and am taking a limited number of private clients interested in the combination of art therapy and EMDR. According to the EMDR Institute, "EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences." You can read more about it here.
I am also a researcher, currently finishing my PhD on art therapy with refugee and asylum-seeking children and their parents. You can read all about the research project here.
For more about my previous research projects and publications, visit Researchgate and Loop.
Due to my training in EMDR, I am currently offering private therapy sessions at a lower rate of 80 Euros per hour (instead of 90).
Sessions can be conducted in person in Berlin, Germany (at Balagan Therapy center in West Berlin), or online in English or Hebrew (it will be possible to combine German and Italian, as well, if needed).
The offer is limited to those in need of processing specific traumatic events or anxiety (I am currently not taking complex cases for EMDR – C-PTSD or a personality disorder diagnoses, for example).
I offer a free online introductory meeting to assess the needs and see if it is a fit. Please fill out the following form or contact me at n.grenimann.bauch@gmail.com.
